Claire Harvey

Claire graduated from Teesside University in 2025 with a first class honours in physiotherapy. Claire developed an interest in research throughout her degree, and after completing a research placement presented her dissertation at the Chartered Society for Physiotherapy conference.

Claire has spent this football season working with Darlington FC men’s first team and academy players providing physiotherapy treatments during training sessions. Claire is also continuing her academic studies at Teesside, and with funding support from the National Institute for Health Research, is working towards her MRes in Clinical Research.

Claire’s background in dance and circus led her to complete her Pilates matwork training in 2022. This training has informed her movement and teaching practice and forms the basis of her rehabilitation plans for her patients. Her inner dancer developed a keen interest in foot and ankle anatomy, developing balance repertoire for Pilates classes and working with those with hypermobility disorders.

You’ll regularly find Claire having a kitchen disco or standing on her hands! And if she’s not on the move, she enjoys relaxing with a cup of tea, slice of cake and a good book.
