Experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Durham and Hebburn, North East England
Starting from £36000 | Dependent on Experience
20-hours Part-time employed with options available to develop to Full-Time hours
We are looking for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist — either an ambitious Junior Physiotherapist ready to progress, or a Senior MSK Physiotherapist seeking a new challenge within private practice.
This role is ideal for someone based in the North East of England who is:

You will have the opportunity to build and manage your own varied clinical caseload while receiving ongoing mentorship, structured CPD, and support from experienced clinicians and leadership staff.

Key responsabilities
Clinical Practice:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a varied musculoskeletal caseload
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation programmes
- Provide hands-on therapy including manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and exercise rehabilitation
- Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals and lifestyles
- Deliver exceptional patient-centred care and communication throughout the rehabilitation journey
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in line with HCPC and CSP standards
- Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans to optimise outcomes
- Utilising the latest healthcare technologies, such as VALD and Compex, to maximise data driven patient potential
Patient Experience & Whole Person Care:
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with patients
- Educate and empower patients to actively engage in their recovery
- Deliver compassionate and respectful care that supports physical, emotional, and lifestyle wellbeing
- Contribute to delivering an exceptional patient experience at every stage of their care
- Teamwork & Clinical Development:
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and highly supportive team
- Participate in regular CPD, mentoring, and clinical development sessions
- Contribute positively to team discussions and service development initiatives
- Support junior staff where appropriate
- Work alongside senior leadership to maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence
Innovation & Service Development:
- Embrace modern rehabilitation and healthcare technologies
- Support innovation and continuous improvement within the clinic
- Contribute ideas that enhance patient care, clinical standards, and service delivery
- Represent JP Physio professionally at events, workshops, and community initiatives
- Participate in marketing, social media, workshops, or educational events where appropriate
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Criteria:
- BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist
- CSP membership
- 2+ years’ experience working within musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to CPD, reflective practice, and ongoing professional growth
- Computer literacy and confidence using clinical systems and technology
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience within private practice
- Sports physiotherapy or rehabilitation experience
- Clinical Pilates training
- Pitchside or sports trauma management experience
- Experience using rehabilitation/performance technologies
- Involvement in workshops, CPD events, or mentoring
- Leadership aspirations or experience supporting junior clinicians
