Joe Swindell

Joe graduated from Coventry University in the summer of 2022 with a degree in physiotherapy. He began working within the NHS in a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist role, gaining experience in the assessment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic injuries and conditions, as well as elective and traumatic surgeries. He is now widening his skills and knowledge, working within a rotational physiotherapist role in the County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust.

Joe’s background is strongly linked with a passion for sport and performance, which he developed through a 6-year youth career at Nottingham Forest Football Club, and later a football scholarship in Florida, USA. Since then, he has worked in a physiotherapy role at Coventry City Football Club and is now the physiotherapist for Durham City RFC.

Joe’s aim is to facilitate people to perform and feel better in sport and in life. Since relocating from Derby to Newcastle, Joe enjoys spending free time trekking in the hills or by the coast. He is now happy to call the North-East home but feels the number 9 shirt at Real Madrid would still be considered and insists a late bid can’t be ruled out!
